Hwy guys,
This is the email I received back from Anne Galloway
Hi Meredith,
So sorry for the delayed response but your emails went straight into my junk folder and I didn't see them until right now!
The Spanish word I mentioned is "nervio" - I did a quick search and found this interesting link:
http://www.lizettegreco.com/roberto/nervio.html
As for understanding bodies, you might start with these books:
"The Body: The Key Concepts" by Lisa Blackman
"Divine Hunger: Cannibalism as a Cultural System" Peggy Reeves Sanday (ed.)
"Beyond the body proper: reading the anthropology of material life," Margaret Lock and Judith Farquhar (eds.)
"The Anthropology of Cannibalism" Laurence Goldman (ed.)
Also, go to the librarian and ask how to place an interloans request for a book called "Inca Cosmology and the Human Body" by Constance Classen, University of Utah Press, 1993.
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Anne
I'll look into this over the next few days. Scott you said you were keen to do this too?
Are we still keen for Nervio for a name??? (after researching it properly and confirming that it actually means what we think it does)
I'm also doing some filming with ice this weekend. Will post on vimeo and send you the link.

sounds good, I like the name, and I'd be pretty keen to look into these more, I put through requests to have the above books sent to the A&D library for us, and one of thems already stacked there so should be able to have a look tomorrow.
